My First Blog Post
Thank you so much for visiting my blog — I truly appreciate it, and it’s an honor to have you here.
I’m not quite sure where to start, but I’ll try. I’ve never done anything like this before, so writing a blog feels like a new adventure for me.
The purpose of this space is to share my experiences in surface pattern design — mostly personal notes about my creative process, thoughts, and little behind-the-scenes moments from my work.
I’ve always loved to draw. Perhaps drawing was the most natural thing for me back then. I remember having many early successes with it — my art teacher in elementary school often sent my drawings to competitions, where I received several recognitions.
This passion for art led me to apply to college to study graphic design. After graduating, I worked in the field for more than a decade — both as a freelancer and at an agency. Working in a fast-paced environment was exciting but also exhausting, and eventually I reached burnout and realized I needed a break.
During that break, I rediscovered painting and drawing, and through that, I found joy and creative energy again. The process of creating led me to surface pattern design, where I once more found the beauty of making art and expressing myself through design.
Now, I’m still in the early stages of learning the foundations of surface pattern design, but I’m truly happy to be creating with my hands again and sharing beauty with others.
That’s why I started this blog — to document my journey, my progress, and the little moments of joy that come with creating.
